With the release of Brisingr now in the past, I thought it best to start up a debate about Book IV (Untitled). So, what do you think will happen in Book IV? Who will be the next dragon rider and why do you think so? What other unsolved problems are there to be solved? Discuss your opinions, debates, and hopes here! I'll add my own input later.

Okay, despite having never actually read Brisingr, I'm definately up for some good old debating, even if Im not a hundred percent sure whats going on. First off, I believe that King Galbatorix is going to be stripped from his dragon rather then killed, and then all the other dragon riders(including Mortagh, who will undoubtably turn out to be good or die with a valiant deed) And Arya and Eragon will live happily ever after. Arya might get the dragon egg, which, if she does get it, will probably be a boy and Saphira's future boyfriend.

Yup. I think Arya's the most likely candidate. Read up on Inheritance wiki if you doubt me lol. And yes, the last dragon is male and green in color.

Ah, Wikipidia. The most helpful tool in the universe. Okay, since this is a debate thread; I think Galbatorix is going to live.

Perhaps its not so much that Galbatorix will live, but that Eragon isn't going to kill him. He'd die because of a power overload or end up killing himself by mistake, because it's that's kind of story. Eragon will want to seem all noble, spare is life, not be like the King. Which I thin is frankly ridiculas, because he's already done away with a ton of people.

I think Roran will become a powerful magician, but I dont know about the next Rider. In Brisingr, the scenes where he attempts to tap into his magic abilities seems to foreshadow his gaining those abilities later.
Also, I happen to think either Roran or Eragon will kill Galby. He's gotta die- Eragon's already assigned himself the duty in Eldest, and stated his reasons. I dont think he'd shirk from the job once it's upon him.
Anyone got any theories on how he'll match Murtagh or Galbatorix? I've heard everything from finding the Eldunari of wild dragons to stealing the ones from Galbatorix.

Hahaha he steals Thorn's Eldunari have you heard that one bevore ^_^ (I know it's unlikely) But... Shruikan didn't want to serve Galbatorix... Perhaps he has one that Eragon gets somehow... *Shrug*
